Once a upon a time when I graduated from high school not only was it a thrilling time to be out in the world, but I thought I had bypassed a horrible teenage stage...acne. I had great skin, maybe a zit (such a horrible word) once in a while but nothing to throw money at.
Then as I continued to hop and skip through life tormenting acne yelling you can't catch me...BOOM!
I got humbled pretty fast.
It was like after college after we got married. BOOM it hit and it hit with a vengence. I secretly blame it on boy. Or the laundry that is taking over my house. Maybe both.
So I'd love to discuss what face products you use. I have tried them all from Clinique, Arbonne, Bobbi Brown (this stuff smelled so good I really didn't care that it didn't work), Proactive. Rhonda Allison you name it. Not to mention dermatologists, facials, tanning beds. I probably would have been more successful if I just flushed the money down the toliet and did a dance.
So spill your skincare secrets!

Antiboitics help my hubs. So if you get sick ... go to the dr and get a round of antiboitics. They help him more than any thing he's ever tried ... sorry I can't be of more help :)
I wish I could help you in this area, but I am just here to say I am so addicted to LOST too. I love it and am counting down the days!! :)
I am a firm believer in PROACTIVE I have used it for 3 years now and Love it. My teenage daughter also uses it and has all her friends hooked on it. I swear it works and ...good luck!
Duh? I see you tried Proactive? I should of read it better....Hmmm I am stumped on any suggestions? sorry?
antibiotics, heather? well! that explains my REALLY clear skin a few weeks ago! wow.
as for what helps me, i got nuthin.
all i can say is drink lots of water, don't eat too many greasy things, wash face before going to bed...
and try to avoid chocolate and caffeine like the plague.
[as if!]
that's about it!
I use Noxema in the AM, and Clean & Clear sensitive in the PM to wash. But my FAVE make-up products are the Bare Minerals...go to Sephora and get the basic set! Love it!
I have some tips for ya! Wash your face twice a day with oil free cleanser. Also use an oil free moisturizer. AND don't marry products. Stay with one product line. They're meant to work in a line not with others. i know that from experience.
I was on Accutane 3 times, antibiotics twice, Proactive 3 years, then i threw my hands up. I've been using Mary Kay, YES MK since Sept of 2006 and my skin has never looked better. I had those big deep ones that throbbed - eeks! Horrible.
I mentioned moisturize and I'm guessing that might freak you out. At least it did me. But even though I had acne and was a bit greasy, I had no idea how thirsty my skin was. Which could have been why it was producing so much oil and causing break outs.
Anyway...that's all I got =)
Shaklee has a wonderful line of products called Enfuselle (french for 'feed the cells'). It is 100% money-back guaranteed. Both of my teens have used it with good results. If you would like more information you can check out my website.

You don't know me, but I ran across your blog through a friend of a friend of a friend type thing. Anyways...I feel your pain with the acne. I, too, had clear skin all through my teen years and now that I'm 26 it's like payback for all those zit-free years.
I have finally found a routine that works and I used to work for a Dermatologist. There's a wonderful skin care line called Biomedic/LaRoche Posay. Their Purifying Cleanser is great. It has glycolic acid which very gently exfoliates with each use. (I have very sensitive skin and have never noticed any irritation.) You'll have to search online for a place to buy it. I used to buy it from the Derm that I worked for, but now that I'm in another city I just order online. Go to skincarerx.com. You can also look on ebay for a bargain. So, I use the cleanser AM and PM and Differin gel (prescription) at night. I just added Clindamycin solution (also a prescription) in the AM and have had really good results.
Hope this helps!
