a thread count farewell

Sometimes I feel as if I live in a big ole' hole because I miss a lot of vital worldly information.

Take for example the Pitt-Aniston split. The one day I didn't check people.com and then, go figure, found out that Sunday in church. Yes, church...from the pastor. Don't even remember how that came into his sermon because I went into shock after that. And no we are not members at First Baptist US Weekly...promise!

But back to my story, I just recently found out that the great Linen's & Things is going out of business. Honestly, I'm more of a Bed, Bath & Beyond kind of gal, but forget loyalty when it comes to 40% off.

I'd really been wanting to go so after the Cowboys lost Sunday so I thought I'd cheer boy up and drag him along with me and let him mourn amongst the 500 thread count sheet section. I'm sure he was thrilled. It was chaotic bliss though as fellow shoppers fought over the last of the Egyptian cotton towels and garlic presses. I was able to finish up a few gifts still remaining on my gift list and snag me this beauty for 30 bucks. Whoa thanks Rachel Ray...I'm going to whip up a lot of "yummos" in this deal!

And so dear Linen's & Things...we bid you farewell.

HAHAHA! I haven't hit ours up yet, but I plan on it very soon! It's always sad to see a store go, but the one comfort we can take are the amazing deals!

Glad to hear it has moved passed "everything is 20% off". You can get that with a weekly coupon! It was crazy! I'll have to go now that there are better deals.

Hi! I have enjoyed reading your blog so much. You kindly left a message on my blog today, so that led me to check out your site. And, I think we are long lost twins, just reading your first post...obsessed with People.com, didn't know until recently LNT was closing, want the same Rachel Ray pan...you were taking words right out of my heart/mouth. Thanks for the great reading!

I ran by there a month ago and picked up a new bed in a bag. 50 down from 180. Score. (:

I have a friend who didn't know who Lacey Peterson was. And this was AFTER Scott Peterson was already in jail. For her murder. She was all "Did you hear about that guy who went to jail for killing his wife?" And I'm all...uhhh. Yes. Yes I did. 2 YEARS AGO. I still tease her about that. But I have a subscription to People so I kind of know things. It was totally a gift from my MIL. Because I would never buy People. Hehe.

LOL! You crack me up. I remember when Jen and Brad split...I was out with friends and her mother called us at, like, 11 at night to tell us. I had a moment of silence to mourn as well.

I've got to get to LnT...I'm a BBB girl, too, but when there's a sale, who cares?? ;) I can't believe they're closing...

From the moment the first Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door "coupe" was introduced to the public, other German luxury automakers hit the drafting board. According to the German auto experts at AutoBild, Audi is just over a year away from unleashing its own cleverly packaged sedan.
