This pregnancy brain really has me all over the place. I keep thinking about that Modern Family episode where Gloria stands forever in the Costco frozen food aisle trying to remember what she needed. That pretty much is summing up my days :-)
1. We find if baby is a boy or a girl on Monday? Praying this baby isn't shy and is showing off that day because we are so excited to find out. I added a poll to the left side of my blog...would love to hear your guesses.
2. We also close next Friday on our house so it's going to be a big week. I'm working on not thinking about that to do list. It's too long and daunting. The type A in me had our move back in November to this rental all properly organized and color coded. Now I feel like I'll just be walking out carrying my clothes in hand. Maybe since Ashlee got the bachelor boot I can hire her to come organize this move.
3. I'm a few weeks behind on my bump post. I'm afraid their becoming boring, but I do want to remember some of this stuff. Unfortunately, each time we've been up at the new house they've been working on the nursery so I have no pictures. But to sum up the last week I'd say I was sadly mistaken when I was raving about my energy returning. As soon as it returned it turned around and left. Please someone tell me it comes back!! But feeling lots of flutters which is so much fun.
4. Loving that Duck Dynasty is back on again. I just adore this family! Also who else is excited that Celebrity Apprentice comes back on Sunday. I'm excited to see some of the crazies back on this season...should be interesting.
5. Going back to #3...is buying a pregnancy pillow worth it? They do look awfully comfy!

the courtyard
We're finishing up our final days in our love shack rental. Construction on the new house is just about done and hopefully we can close later next week. I'm anxious to finally be home and to also be reunited with all our stuff that's been hidden in boxes for the last year. Remind me not to move ever again! Of course just when pug is getting the feel for things around here we're going to have to rock his world again. On our rental we have this awesome courtyard in the front entrance and both pugs have loved roaming around and soaking up some sun on the warmer days. The courtyard also faces a golf course and pug has really taken to barking out his thoughts on the golfer's game as they tee up. I snapped a few shots of them enjoying a spring like day.
Landry in deep thought.
Getting a little pedicure in.
Mr. Curious making his rounds.
It's chilly today, so hopefully spring will come back and stay next time.

{15}
{week 15}
Highlights from week 15...Heard the heartbeat at 4 months appointment last week...right at 130 bpm. Amazing! Nurse is guessing boy and everyone is convinced it's a boy so we'll see. We find out on March 4th (cannot wait)!! Majorly craving ciabatta rolls this week. So random. Baby loves his/her carbs. Return of energy has been a huge blessing. Now if I could just figure out how to sleep through the night, while I still can these last few months, I'd be a happy girl.

book shopping
I honestly have read diddly squat in the past few months. It's been sad and I've dearly missed it. The first trimester and mainly I kept picking things up and then reading a few pages only to get bored kept us apart. I'm happy to report I've found a few I couldn't put down and am looking forward to a few of my favorite authors coming out with some new stuff this spring. But I still need inspiration so you must let me know if there's a read we can't miss.
1. Shunning Sarah by Julie Kramer. Really enjoyed this murder mystery read. I read this right around the holidays and then in January there was a Lifetime movie with Neve Campbell...if you saw it and liked it you might give this a try.
2. What to Expect When You're Expecting by Heidi Markoff. The doctors office gave me a copy of this and I kid you not as soon as we got in the car boy goes "couldn't we just watch the movie?" Gotta love him. I just really use this as a reference, but if you can think of any must reads for new moms I'm all ears.
3. Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes. I let Target do a lot of my book picking. They had this as their monthly pick and so I grabbed. I trust you Target. I'm about half way through and love how it's written and the whole story line. Target does no wrong.
4. Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. Boy's grandmother gave us a copy for Christmas and I just love picking this up everyday. I know this is a must on so many lists, but if you haven't gotten a copy it's money well spent.
5. Sparkly Green Earrings by Melanie Shankle. I love Big Mama's blog and have anxiously waited for this book. I believe it comes out today, but I preordered it last month and I just got notice from Amazon that this gem won't be showing up until Tuesday in mailbox. I'll just have to sit by my mailbox with a box of thin mints and anxiously wait for it.

the bachelor with a side of insane
I'm so weak. I used to blog Monday nights recapping the Bachelor many moons ago, but then I went through a phase where I felt like I might loose it if I heard someone say "Will you except this rose?" one more time.
So I took a break.
But then I caved last year and watched Emily's season and cried of disappointment at the end and once again threw my hands up in defeat swearing never again will I watch Chris's promises of the "most dramatic rose ceremony yet".
Fast forward to 2013 where so far, just this week, I've already wasted 4 hours of my life on a relationship that will be over in 3 US Weekly front covers.
But I can't turn away. I'm going to blame it on the pregnancy hormones. I'm not going to go back to blogging regularly about all the drama, but today I feel we need to talk about some changes I've noticed recently on the Bachelor that have me quite concerned.
1. I feel the title should be renamed to The Bachelor: Extreme Sports Edition. My word whatever happen to the good ole days of a nice limo ride out to the vineyards for a wine tasting followed by dinner. Must these poor women sustain this dare devil torture. There's been the roller derby, the jumping in frigid water, rock climbing, and jumping off buildings. I would have been second thinking renewing a membership on match.com at the thought of jumping off a building. I mean he's good looking, but is he that good looking?
2. The medics on this season are becoming regulars aren't they? I think a requirement for the Bachelor now besides being single is you have to have awesome health insurance to sign up.
3. I'm convinced they need to be doing psych evaluations on some of these women. Or actually just one of these women in particular.
4. And why must my favorites go home. I really liked Sarah and that was such a painful goodbye to watch. I wish he could have given her a better reason of why.
So, there I feel better hashing this out. Any thoughts or favorites on this season? I say I won't tune in next week, but who am I kidding I will.

{13 &14}
So I had planned to really stay on top of the bump updates...but it hasn't been happening so I'll do a little catch up since I hit 15 weeks tomorrow.
Please excuse the quality of these iphone pictures. I wasn't even going to post the first because I look a hot mess rushing out the door and the yellowish lighting, but Landry photo bombing it totally cracked me up so it had to get posted.

{13 weeks}
Highlights from week 13...Jeans no longer want to button. Living for Chick-fil-a, brown sugar pop-tarts and grapes. Hello some energy this week. Still house hunting. Landry obsessed with sleeping on the bump (love it!)
{14 weeks}
Highlights from week 14...BIG week. Found baby a home and signed up the contracts. My old jeans really hate me. Must buy maternity jeans. Still in love with the Chick-Fil-A sandwich (they now know me) and Thin Mint girl scout cookies are my BFF. Only one meltdown at CFA drive thru on the daddy daughter date night they had Saturday. Pure sweetness those girls having a special dinner with dad. I bawled like a baby and boy laughed hysterically at me. Little nausea and even more energy.
Yeah we finally found a home we love. I'll blog more about it, but it's a new construction that will be done mid March (perfect timing) and the week 14 bump picture is taken in the baby's new nursery!
