hello.

hello cheap gas...it feels like ages since we last saw you. But oh how we are enjoying your visit. I'm afraid it's going to be a rather short one, but my checkbook and I are ever so glad to see you as a size 2.

hugs & kisses,
girl

BTW- I don't know if I looked like a bigger dork giddily whipping out my phone to snap a picture at a gas station or the fact that I had to resort to taking a picture of the picture on my phone. Could be a toss up.

  4. haha....love that you took a picture of it! we aren't so lucky to be below the $3 mark but we are slowly getting there! Who'd have thought the day would come we'd be excited about gas just under $3 a gallon?? CRAZY!!

  6. Here in NE Indiana, we had several stations selling gas for $2.79. The average around town, according to the news, is $2.98. So, yeah, good news for us commuters . . .

And I love your picture of a picture. It ain't half bad . . .

  7. It's a great picture just because of the price. The cheapest I have found here is right down the street from my work - it's $2.69!

  9. Wow, and I was excited about finding it for $2.63 day before yesterday. I hope it lasts for awhile. (I took pictures with my phone too, but I forgot all about blogging about it..ha.)

  10. Love it!! It's 3.29 where I live and I am hoping ever so hoping it keeps falling. I've already had the conscious thought to take a picture of it below $3, too! And to weep.

Oh, and do you know that if you text message the picture to your email address -- instead of a phone number it will pop up in your inbox?

  12. I filled up the other day for under $35 when gas hit $2.98/gal - I thought it was a miracle!!!!

And if I ever saw someone taking "odd" pictures - I automatically assume its for a blog now....fellow bloggers understand these things! :-)

  13. I was thinking yesterday, as I was standing in line to pay $1.19 (plus tax) for a candy bar at the drug store, that you cannot buy anything for less than a dollar these days. I realize my frame of reference is "Manhattan-a-fied" as everything here is insanely expensive but I think for the most part it is true! I remember candy in junior high being 50 cents. I remember sodas being 65 cents. God, that makes me sound old! Then today I went to the grocery store and saw that the quart of milk was 93 cents. I just stared at the tag thinking I was reading it wrong. I don't think I've seen 93 cents priced on something more than gum or candy for a long time. Maybe it is just me...?
