this girl has finally learned how to knit!
I have been dying to learn how to for years...you can check out this
post from 2007 where my first attempt resulted in tears and a rather crafty yarn sculpture. Well for Christmas my mom got me a knitting dvd for leftys and I totally got the hang of it.
So, right now I can knit scarves, and some scarves and oh yeah more scarves.
Any knitters out there?
lol I spent all of last winter knitting and all I had to show for it was 3 halfway finished scarves! I have a friend who is amazing and even knits sweaters...I'm so jealous!
ReplyDeletenot a knitter but at times I wish I were ... like now when I need a scarve and K needs a hat! :) Good job!
ReplyDeleteyou go girl! I don't knit but I do crochet you will have to give lessons now :)
ReplyDeleteYIPEEE!!! Another convert... I love knitting... wait until you start up a good yarn stash... nothing like it! You should totally look into Ralvery to keep up on all the projects you make & to find patterns... its the BEST knitting site!
ReplyDeleteNot sure our grandma can even knit. ;)
ReplyDeleteI learned how my last semester in college and I kind of stink at it. So much so I was embarrassed to give a friend a blanket I knitted for her new baby. Oh well. It is just as useful sitting in a drawer at my parents' house.
AWESOME!! I just learned how to knit too! AND I'm a lefty! I went into a knitting store with my mom and there's a lady there that is "world renowned" and she spent 2 hours with me. And then when I put it down for about a month and couldn't remember {plus it was a mess and I didn't know how to finish} I went back in and she showed me some more. I love it!! Oh and I'm using bamboo needles because they're less slippery. =) I haven't finished a project yet {put the mess down and started a new one and will return to the mess when I'm done with the good one} but I've only made scarves, too.
ReplyDeletei'm a lefty, too! when i wanted to learn to knit a few years ago i bought a book and had the hubby learn how to do it from the book and then show me! hahaha!! (he probably doesn't appreciate that story flying about...;) all i've ever learned to knit was scarves. the rest just looked too complicated.
ReplyDeleteGo you!!!!
ReplyDeleteWill you send me a scarf???? :)
